Media Logic proudly supports many community organizations that play an incredibly important role in serving those who could use a helping hand. And we have a very special place in our heart for these three: South End Children’s Cafe, Unity House and Can Code Communities, which will be the recipients of the money we raise through “Get and Give: Merch with a Mission.”

The South End Children’s Cafe is on a mission: to impact food security, address food equality and food justice, enhance academic success, and positively influence the physical and mental health of children in Albany’s south end. They make this happen by offering free healthy meals along with homework help, academic enrichment, mentoring, exercise and the arts. It’s “where cooking is love made visible” and where you feel that love as soon as you walk through the door. Learn more here.

Unity House is a Rensselaer County-based human service agency that provides a wide range of services to meet the otherwise unmet needs of people in our community who are hurting and struggling. They assist those who are living in poverty, adults living with mental illness or HIV/AIDS, victims of domestic violence, and children with developmental delays. They work to achieve social justice in our community and to create a better understanding of those we serve. Can Code is looking to close opportunity gaps by shifting mindsets about who can work in technology, removing cultural and economic barriers to joining the tech workforce, and establishing and promoting pathways to tech careers throughout the region. They deliver workforce training courses, hands-on K-12 coding programs, and basic computer training workshops, in alignment with the needs of employers, educators, talent and the community in general.
